A YouTube content series to get ‘behens’ aka girls to start watching Netflix.
Behensplaining started as a limited 10 part series, featuring some of the best female comedians as they reviewed and even reenacted Netflix shows and movies. 3 seasons and 64 episodes later, you can still catch a new episode each week.
As the only female creative in the room, I see why my idea wasn’t popular internally.
But it just proved the need to get the female perspective out, in a male dominated market.
I got a chance to create the show, from its name to the tone of voice, the content pillars and its talent.

Problem
Around 75% of the Indian audience that watched Netflix, were men.
Insight
With mostly male fans and marketing that targeted men, women wondered if Netflix was for them.
Idea
To create a review show that finally brings to light the female perspective .

covering international as well as local content.

was the comment section.
